Man Induced Global Warming Fraud

I have been following the global warming debate for some time. As a 7th grade teacher I had students graph Earths temperature during various epochs of time. We considered magnitudes of 10, ten years, 100 years and so on with one group doing 4 billion years. We discovered that the earth has gone through many vast periods of successive warming and cooling. We also discovered that the earth has been warming since the end of the 'Little Ice Age' in about 1800. In this article I outline a proof that man induced global warming is a fraud. The fraud has been perpetrated by a self serving class of money grubbing hypocrites.  They benefit financially and politically from this sort of agenda, but as the scam becomes clear hopfully they would be exposed.  Actually the debate about global warming is a very interesting story, and interesting to follow even if your' not interested in the politics.

There are a variety of facts that the liberal media leave out of their 'global warming' reports. It is interesting how uninformative the 'news' actually is. It is similar to a fascist system that pretends to inform while actually keeping people ignorant. To begin any history of Earths' temperatures is rarely mentioned. Seems that would be a relevant starting point wouldn't it? In fact our current warming phase is due to change back to ice age anytime. So we need to be clear the issue is not whether or not we have experienced a warming trend, but rather is this trend due to mans activities? I mean that's what the trillions of dollars the left plans to cost our economy to solve global warming is about isn't it?

Some of the best evidence in the global warming debate comes from other planets. It turns out that many planets in the solar system have been warming. Here is the list as of 2011-3-19: Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Triton, Neptune, and Pluto. A good portion of the solar system and some planets more than Earth. Apparently the climatologists have a different explanation for every planet and of course for Earth it is mans production of C02.

Back in the time of Copernicus some believed that the Earth was the center of the solar system. Troubling for them was the backwards motions of the planets. Well they were very smart and invented the most complex theories to explain their observations. This I suppose is what the climatologists are up to now: Trying to explain why the solar system is warming and why somehow the Earth is warming due to mans CO2 emissions.

Lets ask: Why is the solar system warming? I turns the climate scientists did not factor variance in solar irradiation in their models. Seems obvious enough doesn't it: If the Earth and Planets are heating look to the heat source. But the climatologists only included mans contribution of CO2 but not changes in the suns heat output in their models. Anyway factor in solar irradiative variance and guess what: The planets are warming. This is genius stuff. Let me show you a photo essay of the planets, a graph of the increases in solar irradiance, and another graph of Earths temperature increases that corresponds nearly exactly to the suns heat output (who would have suspected)

Jupiters Great Red spot is twice the size of Earth and 300 years old. A new storm has formed as a result of global warming on Jupiter. Some parts of Jupiter have heated as much as 6 degress Celsius. Evidence from Triton Neptune's largest moon: A Massachusetts Institute of Technology researcher has reported that Triton seems to have heated up quiet significantly. In fact recently more than Earth. The moons temperature has increased from -392 degrees to -389 degrees Fahrenheit. The increase of Triton's temperature would be like the Earth increasing by 22 degrees Fahrenheit. Pluto is also warming even as it recedes from its closest approach to the sun. Its atmospheric pressure has also doubled. Scientists attribute this warming to thermal lag. This is a possible explanation, but solar radiance recently was at a maximum while since then Earth has warmed very slightly. The question is why is not 'thermal lag' applied to Earth?

Solar Radiation as a Cause of Global Warming

Now let's move on to the correspondence between solar radiation and global temperature data. It seems that there is a nearly exact correlation. This correspondence has been overlooked by climatologists although one would expect it to be at the center of the theory and model of Earths temperatures.

The next two graphs compare global temperatures with solar activity for the last 2,000 years. You will notice a nearly exact correspondence. (Note: Year 2,000 is on the right in the first graph and left in the second)

Now that we have demonstrated that variations in solar irradiance are the best candidate to explain global and planetary warming in general let's change our topic to an analysis of CO2 levels and Earths past climate history. See the following chart that estimates mans contribution to greenhouse gases at 0.28%.

As a fact: "CO₂ is a trace gas comprising 0.039% of the atmosphere." (Wikipedia), And CO2 is not the most abundant greenhouse gas. In fact it is water. But lets do some anaylysis. If CO2 is about 0.04 % of the atmosphere and say man increases that to 0.05 % then we have increased CO2 as a percent of the atmosphere by 0.01 %. Read that as one one hundredth of one percent.

Another fact you won't hear the climatologists mention is that there was a time in Earths history when CO2 was 10 times as abundant as now yet global temperatures were cooler than now. Please read that again. Yes, 10 times the C02 and lower temperatures.

Another fact about CO2 is that it increases as temperatures increase so climatologists may indeed have the causal chain backwards.

A Simple Proportion

Looking at the next chart we can see that there was a period when CO2 was roughly 10 times as high (1,000%) and Earths temperatures were also about 10 degrees warmer. Earth has been gradually cooling so the higher temperature may not have been due to the CO2 at all. But lets assume it was. We can then use a proportion to argue what mans contribution to global warming is. We have raised CO2 by 18.75 %.

from pre-algebra: x / 10 = 18.75 / 1000 --> x = .1875

One can see from an elementary proportion that we should have increased the Earths temperature by about 0.2 degrees Celsius. But this should be an upside estimate as most likely the higher temperatures in Earths history were due to the fact the Earth started out warmer and not due to the increase presence of CO2.  

From the above chart one can notice two things: First, there really is not that much of a correlation between CO2 and earths temperatures. Yet another basic lie has been exposed but no one really cares. Next, the Earth is usually about 10 degrees warmer! Argh, I hope not, but luckily for us we are now in a relatively warm period so probably there will be another ice age before things get really hot again.

I suspect roads, buildings, atmospheric haze, and clear cutting also may play roles in our model of the causes of global warming. Most likely they also make a fractional contribution. Atmospheric haze is supposed to lead to cooling. But the vast clearing of trees in many areas might reasonably lead to some effect. I researched the tree issue. There were a variety of nit wit eco sites promoting tree planting. Nothing against planting trees I wish everyone on the left did it all day everyday instead of stealing money from the poor so they can buy SUV's, but when I finally found a Scientific American article it said, "if all the forests were cut and left to rot, the annual global mean temperature would decrease by more than 0.5 degree Fahrenheit."

I think there is something from all this to be learned about how the left operates. It is interesting how the left goes along as though they are the only ones that can possibly be right about anything, and as though they are the only ones who care. It turns out they have been selfishly creating an agenda for their own monetary enrichment. Follow the money. It explains the class behaviour of the left in promoting this agenda.

1. Changes in solar activity are responsible for temperature increases.

2. Temperature increases precede CO2 increases. CO2 rises with increasing temperatures. At one long period of time in Earth's history CO2 was 10 times as high as now and temperatures were Lower!

3. Man induced sea rise zero. It's been rising for millennia.

4. The Earth has been warming since before the industrial revolution. Glaciers used to cover most of North America.

5. Al Gore, the left, CNN, BBC and Hollywood are all liars, trying to induce fear to control people and make money.

6. Anthropogenic (man caused) global warming is by no means 'consensus' in the scientific community. Rather many scientists are intimidated to keep quiet while still others dare to dispute the theory.

Dirty ways climatologists and the left distort data

Quote: Professor Fred Singer: "They have: Distorted the land surface temperature record by deleting of stations after 1975, kept 'best' stations at airports, distorted sea surface temperatures, engaged in hiding of data, destroying of evidence, evading freedom of information act, misused the peer review process, prevented the publication of critiques, pressured journal editors not to publish results from skeptics, and smeared opponents in a personal way accusing them of being in the pay of big oil."

I find it unfortunate that people allow the left to get away with these sorts of activities. This is the real cause of the problem. If man cannot properly respond to what the left does then they will continue to take advantage of the ignorant in our societies for their personal gain.

'Scientists' often show the correspondence between CO2 and rising temperatures to establish that CO2 causes global warming. In fact, however, It has been shown in recent studies that CO2 changes lag earths temperature changes. First earth warms and then CO2 increases not the reverse. Basically this undermines the entire reasoning process usually used to justify man caused global warming theory. This fact has been ignored or even deliberately removed from various publications. For example, Wikipedia removed a reference to the fact that CO2 increases as a result of increasing temperature.

2010-8 Harold Lewis resigns from APS alleging establishment, media, and governmental bias. Leading media outlets ignore the resignation and the The Washington Post publishes an opinion piece by well known climate fraud Michael Mann.

Lewis held positions including chairman of the Defense Science Board, Chairman of the Technology Panel, and the panel on nuclear winter. Lewis stated: “my former pride at being an APS Fellow all these years has been turned into shame, and I am forced, with no pleasure at all, to offer you my resignation from the Society.” Lewis accused Mann, and leading government climate 'scientists' of “the greatest and most successful pseudo-scientific fraud I have seen in my long life as a physicist.” Lewis accused leading climate scientists of being part of an elite that is motivated by money to go along with anthropogenic (man caused) global warming. He noted that leading institutions had tremendous financial incentives mounting into the trillions to support the theory. He went on to say:

“Since I am no philosopher, I’m not going to explore at just which point enlightened self-interest crosses the line into corruption, but a careful reading of the ClimateGate releases makes it clear that this is not an academic question…I want no part of it, so please accept my resignation. APS no longer represents me…”

Lewis noted that the APS had issued a statement about climate change using the word 'incontrovertible'. Of course, this word is not used when discussing scientific theories as in principle they are all subject to revision. Obviously the use of the word in the context of advocating a theory indicates a complete corruption of the scientific process.

The Nobel laureate resigned over the American Physical Societies position on global warming which states:

"The evidence is incontrovertible: Global Warming is occurring,"

Giaever wrote: "In the APS, it is ok to discuss whether the mass of the proton changes over time and how a multi-universe behaves, but the evidence of global warming is incontrovertible?"

"The claim ...is that the temperature has changed from ~288.0 to ~288.8 degree Kelvin in about 150 years, which (if true) means to me is that the temperature has been amazingly stable, and both human health and happiness have definitely improved in this 'warming' period."

My comment: By treating a most likely false theory as fact the American Physical Society demonstrates that they have no respect for the scientific process or principles. Theories and scientific ideas are generally considered open to revision.

NASA/NOAA Manipulate Climate Data:

It is alleged (see source below) that the following methods have been used by NASA and the NOAA to manipulate climate data:

Reduce the number of reporting stations from 6,000 in 1970 to 1,500 or less today. In the process they dropped reporting stations form higher altitudes and rural locations and kept stations near airports. They have reduced the temperatures in early records to indicate a current warming trend, and failed to compensate for urban growth trends near reporting stations. They also used more advanced data manipulation techniques.

8th Grade Science Experiment:

Imagine making your own little green house and measuring the temperature change as you add water vapor. I suggest it as a basic science experiment. Construct two small plastic greenhouses say 1 cubic meter each or even just 1 liter each. Now the first is the control. We measure the temperature and humidity in this without changing anything. Next, introduce additional water vapor in the second greenhouse. Ideally we increase the humidity by .28 % as this would approximate mans influence on greenhouse gases. In reality nothing would be noticed so we have to increase the humidity say by 50%. Now measure the temperature and humidity in the second greenhouse. Finally, form the 6th grade proportion as above to determine mans contribution to global warming. Now you must point out that you are modeling Earths atmosphere with a small greenhouse and that that leads to possible errors. But on the other hand we can make reasonable assumptions about how big these errors might likely be and the result is such that there is room for significant error. Discussion of the sources of errors is useful to develop reasoning and 8th graders may find that difficult.
